How it works!

First Transit is the dispatcher the State of Louisiana uses to send trips to NEMT companies. They offer transmissions in two formats, FAX or BLAST.  If you receive by fax you will be required to hand fill each MT3 form. MT3's are the form that verifies that you have completed the assign trip. Then you will have to manually transfer all the data to a billing file that has to be sent to Unisys for collection.  Unisys in turn has to manually transfer the data you sent to them to their computer.  All of this manually transfer of data is tedious and errors can occur during transfer.  This is why it takes so long to collect for trips you have completed.

Blast is a communication software program that the state has chosen to transfer data from the dispatch to the transporters and to UNISYS.  AutoTrip is a software package that we created to utilize BLAST and make it easier for transporters to receive trips and bill for these trips.  With AutoTrip, the dispatch sends (blast) the trips directly to your computer system.  A print out is produced that looks like a fax, but instead of having to transfer the data manually, AutoTrip transfers all the data straight to your computer and then prints and fills out the MT3's for you.  You can also print out a drivers or dispatch list to make it easier to handle daily trips.  Each MT3 printed will have a TRIP number issued by your computer.  This trip number is all you need to use to bill "Code" a trip. Once a trip has been performed, you simply "Code that Trip" and place the MT3 in that recipients file.  Once a week you hit one key to "CREATE A BILLING file" and blast it to UNISYS.  If this file is received by UNISYS before 10AM on Thursdays, your bank account will receive a deposit for that billing by the following Tuesday.  By having the files transferred from the dispatch to your computer and directly to UNISYS without having to manually input data, you have fewer typos which mean fewer errors and faster payments.  The time saved by using AutoTrip will be measured in hours per week and no third party billing company required. You are your own billing company!

With AutoTrip there is no contract. You can choose to quit using AutoTrip at any time. You lease the use of the software on a monthly basis. If you choose to stop, you simply stop sending payments.  Lease is currently set at $100 per month and must be received by us before the 10th of the month.  With payment of lease, you get tech support for AutoTrip and automatic updates if changes are made by dispatch or state.
